Today...perfection...
Similar wind strength to yesterday, but with bigger waves. The usual spot-on cross-shore wind, so it had to be a looping day...

A few warm up runs, and then on one proper powered up run out...ramp spotted...back loop...

SPLAT.
Take off was very good but I completely messed up the landing with my right ear taking the full force of the impact on the water. Straight away I knew something was wrong. My ear was ringing like mad and had gone very deaf. Must be a bust ear drum...BUGGER.

That should have been end of sailing for the day...and the holiday. However after taking a few pics of Rod enjoying absolute DTL perfection, I could not prevent myself from grabbing the waveboard (and an earplug - cheers Mike). Wrong move - again I had missed the 2pm wind/wave peak, meaning mucho blobbing and water getting into my right ear. Fortunately it didn't get infected.

Well, sh*t happens I suppose - sailing was good at the start of the day before the accident, but I was absolutely gutted I missed the best conditions of the trip. There was only one more day of wind (flat 5.8 weather) so in the end I didn't miss a huge amount of sailing, but still extremely annoying. Ho hum at least there will be a next time - I know that with its consistent starboard-tack DTL perfection Moulay is definitely a place I will be visiting again.
